The web-based java application called "Personalized Oncology Suite" (POS) is able to integrate those different data types. POS can be tested via a web-browser via http://pos.i-med.ac.at.

As POS integrates high-content images an image viewer is important which provides the images in a Google maps like manner.

One interesting feature is the change report. Using this change report users can look up all former modifications for a given entity.

Additionally, POS implements some basic statistical plots as well as the possibility of visualizing somatic mutations using an integrated genome browser. This genome browser was implemented by the utilization of the R/BioC package GViz.

Furthermore, public data are integrated into the POS database.

In case of imaging data, POS holds metadata about the files whereby the images itself are stored in distributed Bisque systems. POS implements a user-management system providing different user roles. POS also features internationalization, whereby English and German are implemented at the moment. Furthermore, automatic data import and export is implemented as well as manual data input including input validation.
